Easier Than Ever
Access to the interior of Denali National Park, including Kantishna, is only by bus from the park entrance or by small aircraft.

Transportation to the park was only by railroad from the 1920s to the mid-1950s, when the Denali Highway (Highway 8) finally reached it from the east.

Upon completion of the George Parks Highway (Highway 3) in 1968, direct access was available to the the park entrance from Anchorage and Fairbanks.
