Denali National Park Alaska Travel and Transportation
|
|
Plan
Ahead
At least one full day is required to tour Denali National Park road and reach
Kantishna by shuttle or tour bus.
Visitors arriving without shuttle or tour bus reservations may have to wait one
to two days for an available bus. This is especially true during peak season.
Please plan accordingly.
The National Park Service strongly recommends using the shuttle and campground
reservation system when planning your trip.

Denali National Park
Alaska - Motorcoach Service
|
|

Daily motorcoach service is available between Anchorage and
Denali National Park. Taking a motorcoach affords you the opportunity to enjoy
some of Alaskas most beautiful highways.
To the North of Anchorage traveling to Denali Park you will journey through the
fertile Matanuska-Susitna valley on the Parks Highway.
Within Denali National Park, motorcoach transportation along
the 95-mile long Denali Park Road is available using standard National Park
Service busses or via fully narrated, round trip wildlife viewing tour busses
which include lunch.
Expect to see plenty of wildlife along the Denali Park Road
including grizzly bears, black bears, moose, caribou, Dall sheep and other
Alaska wildlife. Rest stops are made periodically but do bring snacks and
drinks.
